Hi food chatters!!

 
Food Chat Club (FCC) is a semi-autonomous-board (BSO) or complementary-organization-board (BKO) of Himitepa. It was established together with Food Processing Club (FPC), even the exact date is unknown (sorry, I’m still looking forward for it). I believe that it has the same birth-year as FPC.

 
The aim of this club is to promote English comprehension among Food Science and Tech (ITP) students. To accomplish that, we hold many activities such as routine gathering, watching movie, TOEFL preparation, etc. We hope that every ITP student –fluently or not- in using English as their secondary language feel enjoy learning English together in this club.

 
National Student Paper Competition (NSPC) on Food Issues is the biggest event annually organized by FCC. Actually, it is one of Himitepa’s Division (Profession and Internal) programs, but FCC is trusted to be the event organizer. In this event, keynote speakers are invited to deliver their speech related to the topic of the current NSPC. Then every participant qualified to pass the final stage, presenting their papers in front of the adjudicators and audience.

 
We have two lecturers as our advisor: Mrs. Fransisca Zakaria and Mrs. Ratih Dewanti-Hariyadi. And also we have legal advisor, Mr. Nugraha Edhi S. as the Himitepa’s advisor. They are so willing to support us because the officials also have the same objective to promote English skill among ITP students.

 
Total member of FCC now is 54 persons, consists of 32 members of class 2004 students and 22 members of class 2005 students.
